About Skip FM

Live radio from around the world, by vibe or genre. Pick party, work or techno, and a station starts playing. Hit skip and you travel to another country, same kind of music.

How it works

• The stations come from Radio Browser, a free directory of more than 60,000 internet radio stations kept up by its community.
• For each genre, Skip FM picks the stations that fit it best, play reliably and that people listen to, and checks each stream before you hear it. Stations that don’t work are skipped.
• Or describe a vibe in your own words, like “rainy Sunday in Paris” or “like Daft Punk”, and Skip FM finds live stations that fit. Claude, an AI by Anthropic, turns your words into genres and moods (see Privacy).
• Your browser plays each station’s own live stream, straight from the station. Skip FM doesn’t record, store or rebroadcast any audio.
• Skip FM plays music stations: news, talk and religious stations are left out.
• It’s free: no account, no ads, no cookies. Your favourite stations and songs are kept in your own browser. See Privacy.

For radio stations

Skip FM lists stations from Radio Browser, so your listing there is what we show.

• To be on Skip FM: add your station at radio-browser.info, with your stream address and the genres you play as tags. Good tags put you in the right genres here.
• To fix your details (name, city, genres, logo): update your entry at radio-browser.info. Changes show up here within a day.
• To be removed from Skip FM, or for anything else: email hello@skipfm.com, ideally from your station’s address. We take stations off quickly, usually within two working days.
